Parent Input From Open House and Survey Compiled
Neighborhoods raise specific concerns

Parents who attended an open house on the Sammamish Plateau elementary boundary changes on Thursday, January 10, filled out a form asking for pros and cons on each draft scenario. They were asked to rank the three draft scenarios as well. A total of 127 parents attended and 90 parents filled out and turned in these forms. To accommodate parents who could not attend the open house, the same form was posted as a web-based survey. Over the four days the survey was available via the Lake Washington School District website, 117 parents gave their input.

The following information is a compilation of both sets of information. Some parents did not fill out all sections of the form. Comments in both the pros/cons section and the space for additional comments are summarized for the key points raised by the parent. If more than one parent wrote about the same point, a number represents the total number of parents who made similar comments.

Parents were asked to rank the draft scenarios giving one point to their preferred scenario, two points to their next preference and three points to their least preferred scenario. The rankings were averaged for each scenario.

Combined results of 1/10 parent input forms and web survey (1/11-1/14)
1/10 parent input night: 90 surveys
Web survey: 117 responses
Total: 207 responses
Note: Many surveys were only partially filled out.
