The Lake Washington School District Board of Directors generally meets twice a month on Monday evenings. Adjustments are made for school vacations or other holidays. A
calendar of the board meeting schedule for the current school year is available. Meetings are held at the Resource Center, located at 16250 NE 74th Street, Redmond Town Center.
The first meeting of the month begins at 7 p.m. It is set aside as the board’s business meeting. At this meeting, the majority of the Board’s discussion and work will focus on reviewing progress related to the Ends Policies. Public comment is built into this meeting’s agenda for citizens to address the board on any topic related to board work. Speakers are requested to limit their remarks to three minutes. They are asked to appoint a spokesperson if the concern is a group concern. They may supplement verbal presentations with written reports, if necessary or desired.
The second meeting of the month begins at 5:30 p.m. It is set aside for the board to approve a short consent agenda, monitor compliance with Executive Limitations Policies and conduct focus group sessions with constituents. Board training and development may also be held at these times.
Board meetings are televised on Channel 26 on Comcast cable television in a limited geographic area.
