School Attendance Areas

The superintendent shall recommend attendance area configurations to the Board of Directors. Such configurations shall include but not be limited to a socio-economic impact statement relating to the area under consideration. Attendance variances may be approved by the superintendent or designee.

Variances in Attendance

Open enrollment: Each spring during a three week period in April students may apply for an attendance variance. During this period restrictions on requests for variance are lifted. Applications for enrollment in a school other than the one in the student's attendance area may not be refused except when the school requested has reached its enrollment capacity for the entire school, individual grade level or classroom.
