The teacher shall prepare the pupils in advance so the learning opportunities
made possible by the field trip provide meaning to classroom based instruction.
Teachers must request approval from their principal before making any
plans for or announcement of a field trip.
On all extra-curricular trips (music, athletic, etc.) the teacher, supervisor
or coach shall always be on the bus in addition to the driver. The recommended
ratio of supervision at elementary level should be 1 adult to 10 and on
the secondary level, 1 adult to 20 students.
Teachers shall submit "Bus Trip Ticket" two weeks before a
trip.
